There are loads of great ways to earn money while at home in your spare time. You can even earn money while watching TV.
There are two ways you can make money from home. One is with a side hustle. This means that it’s something you do alongside your normal role. The next is a side business. This is something you plan to do for the long haul which will hopefully bring in enough to pay all your bills and give you the lifestyle you’ve always wanted.
Having a side business or hustle is a great way to bring in extra income to your household. It could help you pay off extra bills or build up your savings.
Here are 3 ways you can earn money in your spare time.
Start a business
If you like the idea of starting a business then there are a few extra things you need to think about. Start by writing down your transferable skills. We all have them. Are you good at organising? Do you love writing? Do you make things like jewellery or crochet? Whatever your skill, this may be the way to go when starting up your new business.
You’ll also need to think about your branding. This is how your audience or buyers are going to see you and your business. You’ll need a logo and some advertising materials to help spread the word about your new venture.
Have a look at these free fonts before you do anything else. These fonts could really help your business name stand out from the crowd.
Our four favourite ways to earn money that also turned into a business are:
Products – You could also use the free fonts to sell your own products. You could sell printables on Esty, make labels for your own products and even make products for other companies.
There’s some great examples here on Etsy of how fonts can help you make money. Our favourites are printables like these baby shower printables and these daily planner printables. These are all great ways you can use fonts to make money.
Blogging – This is when you set up a website and write about the things you love to do. This could be make-up, shopping or even about writing itself. Write about something you are passionate about and the advertisers and PR companies will come. Read more about how to start a blog here.
We make loads of printables with amazing fonts which count towards passive income. Think of what you would be looking for and make the printables. For us it’s packing lists and meal plans. Making them look great with beautiful fonts is key to helping them sell.
Virtual assistant – If you are great at time management then becoming a VA is for you. Decide what you like to do and advertise your skills. Are you good at proofreading? Can you manage someone’s diary? Emails? All business need admin staff that shine in the background.
Social media manager – If you love social media then this is for you. Show your skills by building up your own social media channels.
If you are looking for something to do in front of the TV or while you are cooking dinner then surveys are for you. Survey companies pay you for your opinions on things like how the government are doing or what TV shows you enjoy the most.
While it’s true you won’t get rich off of doing surveys, they are a great way to earn some extra cash. They are all really easy to do and can be done around you’ll own lifestyle.
Reselling on eBay
We love reselling! This is when you go through all your old items that you no longer need and sell them online. It doesn’t have to be eBay either, it could be Facebay or Gumtree.
The whole idea is to start with selling your own unwanted items then you can start sourcing more to sell for a profit. You could find these anywhere including your local charity shop.
You do need to take into account posting charges and any web fees that there may be but as long as you make a profit then it’s worth it.
We really hope this post helps you to start earning money from home in your spare time.
