It’s hard to know which brands to use to try and reduce single use plastics while still keeping your home clean. What excites us is, that many cleaning brands are now selling their products with refillable glass options and washable sponges that you can use over and over again.
Many of us are starting to think about how we start to go green cleaning-wise and try to hit that zero waste goal post. If you are unsure if you should be swapping to more natural ingredients, ask yourself, what is really in the bleach I use and what is the environmental impact of the cleaning chemicals that I use?
You really don’t have to use harsh and toxic chemicals to kill off any bacteria in your home. Many of the eco friendly cleaning products we have suggested below are great for cleaning up even the most built-in grease and grime. By trying to avoid as many of the chemical disinfectants and detergents as you can really help to save the environment now and in the future.
Not only are they harmful to the wildlife when put down the sink but they can also cause reactions to us at home that we didn’t even realize. By using plant-based ingredients even if its just in our washing powder could make a huge difference if you have sensitive skin while reducing your own carbon emissions.
